Magnet4Europe Learning Collaborative: Advancing Nursing Excellence in Oslo The second Magnet4Europe Learning Collaborative took place in Oslo from May 30-31, 2023, bringing together over 160 participants from hospitals in Europe and the U.S., alongside the researcher team. The event was organised by Ireland’s Magnet4Europe research team from University College Cork, Prof. Jonathan Drennan, Dr Noeleen Brady, Dr Vera Mc Carthy and Dr Elaine Lehane and hosted by Prof. Anners Lerdal of Lovisenberg Diaconal Hospital. The conference featured an opening musical performance by the SaxArt quartet, setting the stage for two days of insightful presentations. Five plenary sessions covering the Magnet principles included topics such as shared governance, interprofessional collaboration, and evaluating nursing quality. The first day concluded with a performance by the Lovisenberg Choir and a group dinner. Day two included a focus on the ANCC Pathway to Excellence Model, presented by Christine Pabico, who discussed creating optimal environments for nurses. Breakout sessions allowed participants to discuss sustainability and opportunities in healthcare and liaise with other people from their country. Additionally, 23 posters showcasing innovative approaches in nursing were presented, and top entries were awarded prizes by Dr Noeleen Brady and Prof. Walter Sermeus, the study coordinator. Prof. Walter Sermeus concluded the event with an encouraging address, highlighting the importance of collaboration. The Oslo conference offered participants opportunities to network, exchange ideas, and gain insights. It left them motivated and
connected as they prepared for the final year of the project, aimed at improving working environments in hospitals across Europe. Lead and Team Members: Professor Jonathan Drennan, Dr Noeleen Brady, Dr Vera Mc Carthy, Dr Elaine Lehane
