About the Programme The philosophy underpinning this programme recognises the uniqueness of the individual at each stage of the cancer care trajectory. The course provides a structured programme of study that enables the student to develop knowledge, skills and competencies in oncology nursing practice. Course Delivery The structure of the programme delivery is blended which incorporates a mixture of online and some face-to-face classroom sessions (5 college days). This provides greater flexibility and allows students to work at their own pace. Entry Requirements This programme is open to Registered General Nurses with a minimum of six months post registration experience (excluding courses). Applicants need to hold active registration on the professional register maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Course duration: The course runs from September to December. A 2-day orientation will take place the week prior to the starting date and attendance is compulsory.
