First intake of students on the MSc in Nursing and Healthcare Quality Improvement (online) programme graduate at the Conferring Ceremony – 21st February 2020

The first cohort of the MSc (Nursing & Healthcare QI) graduated at the conferring ceremony on 21st February 2020. They came from around Ireland and ‘further afield’ for their conferring ceremony. All enjoyed meeting each other face-to-face for the first time (in most cases) having developed excellent learning and support networks during their 2-year online programme. Dr Sarah McCloskey (Chief Executive Officer of Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, Cork) gave a very eloquent address as part of the conferring ceremony reiterating the important of kindness in the work of health care practitioners. The posthumous award was presented to Ms Keady Ni Chlumhain (also known as Clifford) (RIP) who was a student on the MSc (Nursing and Healthcare Quality Improvement). Keady’s parents were in attendance- whilst it was a sad occasion it was an important gesture on behalf of the University.
