Roar Conference: 24th May 2019

Midwives are you ready to Roar? This was a dynamic one day event delivered by Professor Soo Downe, UCLAN and Dr Sheena Byrom, Freelance Midwife Consultant, editors of the Roar Behind the Silence (2015) and Squaring the Circle (2019). Sheena and Soo delivered an inspiring workshop for midwives of the SSWHG Maternity Services. A range of evidence was presented on the global challenges for women and girls and the need to midwives to provide strong and compassionate care. The workshop was inspiring for midwives who wanted to bring about change, lots of ideas were generated and midwives left with burst and ideas for influencing change in practice.
