Dr Mohamad Saab Presents about Virtual Reality and Testicular Cancer Awareness

Dr Mohamad Saab presents about Virtual Reality Simulation in Nursing and Midwifery Education at Sigma’s 6 th Biennial European Regional Conference In 2021, Dr Saab received the College of Medicine and Health Learning and Teaching Innovation Award to explore the feasibility of using virtual reality (VR) simulation in nursing and midwifery education. This study was conducted with 43 nursing and midwifery students in March and April 2022. Findings were promising, favouring the use of VR simulation to help students practice clinical skills, prepare for clinical placements, and learn about rare clinical situations. VR was perceived as informative and enjoyable, fostering safe and self-directed learning without causing patient harm. Dr Saab presented findings from this study during Sigma’s 6 th Biennial European Regional Conference which took place in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) from June 22-25, 2022. The presentation was well received and was followed by an engaging Q&A session. Lead: Dr Mohamad M. in a Virtual Seminar Professor Samar Noureddine, Chair of the Research Committee of the Hariri School of Nursing, American University of Beirut in Lebanon invited Dr Saab to present about the use of virtual reality in men’s health promotion during a 45-minute seminar organised jointly by the Hariri School of Nursing and the Chi Iota Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International. The seminar was attended by Faculty Members and students at the Hariri School of Nursing and was followed by an engaging Q&A session. Lead: Dr Mohamad M. Saab
