Dr Mohamad Saab presents about Testicular and Lung Cancers during a Global Action on Men’s Health Webinar Dr Saab is Member of Global Action on Men’s Health (GAMH); a global collaborative that brings together men’s health organisations and researchers. GAMH’s mission is to create a world where all men and boys can achieve the best possible health and wellbeing, wherever they live and whatever their backgrounds. Mr Peter Baker, Director of GAMH, invited Dr Saab to present about men’s awareness of and help-seeking for testicular and lung cancers during a GAMH webinar titled “Men and Cancer: Saving Lives, Reducing Suffering” which took place 10 October 2022. Dr Saab presented about his National Cancer Control Programme-funded research which aimed to explore “push-pull” strategies to “push” at-risk individuals with symptoms indicative of lung cancer to seek timely help and enable primary healthcare professionals to “pull” these individuals into appropriate services. Dr Saab also presented on men’s preferred strategies for learning about testicular diseases and about effective ways to engage younger men in cancer presentation and help-seeking using findings from the HRB-funded Enhancing Men’s Awareness of Testicular Diseases (E-MAT) trial. Dr Mohamad Saab interviewed about Lung Cancer Screening and Early Detection during the PC4 Research Round-up Podcast The Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Group (PC4) was established in February 2009. This group aims to help prevent cancer in the community, improve care and outcomes for people affected by cancer, influence health care policy, and promote best practice cancer care. Dr Saab was invited to present about his research on lung cancer screening and early detection in one the PC4 podcast episodes which was hosted by Dr Claire Nightingale and Dr Nicole Rankin from the University of Melbourne in September 2022. In this episode, Dr Saab discussed lung cancer screening globally and talked about his research on identifying “push-pull” strategies to “push” high-risk individuals to seek help for symptoms of lung cancer and to devise strategies to enable primary healthcare professionals to “pull” these individuals into the appropriate services.
