The conference attracted over 700 nurse educator delegates from all over the world. It was a great opportunity to meet and network with colleagues after such a long absence due to COVID-19. The presentation and posters were outputs from their Erasmus funded research project; Simversity - Optimizing patient safety throughculturallycompetentsimulation-basededucationwithhealth professionals’ . The team have recently published a comprehensive systematic review exploring the focus, authenticity and outcomes of cultural simulations and have a number of other papers under review. While theSimversityproject has nowconcluded, the research outputs have highlighted the need to expand our curricula to better reflect philosophical perspectives beyond a cultural competency paradigm. There is a short fall within our current healthcare system in addressing diverse needs as well as the critical requirement to enable healthcare professionals to use inclusive practices to safely care for an increasingly diverse society.
