School Of Nursing and Midwifery Hosts International Magnet4Europe Consortium Meeting and Learning Collaborative

out sessions in which twin pairs showcased their innovative Magnet4Europe initiatives, and finally poster and abstract presentations which were followed by a best poster award. Overall, the first face-to-face Learning Collaborative hosted by the School was a fantastic success and generated debate, discussion and innovative ideas that will positively impact on the health and wellbeing of nurses and doctors across Europe. The School of Nursing and Midwifery hosted the first face-to-face Magnet4Europe Learning Collaborative on 19 th and 20 th May 2022 which was attended by over 200 delegates from the US, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Germany, the UK and Ireland. It provided an opportunity for staff from hospitals in Europe who are twinned with Magnet hospitals to meet in-person for the first time and was the largest meeting of teams involved in Magnet outside of the US. Delegates were welcomed by Ireland’s Chief Nurse, Rachel Kenna, the Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery UCC, Professor Josephine Hegarty, the Head of College of Medicine and Health UCC, Professor Helen Whelton and Rebecca Graystone from the American Nurses Credentialing Centre as well as Professor Jonathan Drennan from UCC, Professor Linda Aiken from the University of Pennsylvania and Professor Walter Sermeus from KU Leuven. Prior to the Collaborative, the research teams met in the School of Nursing and Midwifery to discuss the progress of the project and plans for the Learning Collaborative.
