Successful Implementation of Practice Enhancement for Exclusive Breastfeeding (PEEB) The Health Research Board Applied Partnership Award project, entitled ‘Practice Enhancement for Exclusive Breastfeeding’ PEEB continues to make progress in the UHK maternity services and associated community and primary care settings. The PEEB Work- Based Learning Groups established education as one component to facilitate effective exclusive breastfeeding support for women and their infants. None of the participants had previously undertaken formal education in breastfeeding. Sessions took less than one hour to complete, and participants gave feedback following the trainingandwritten feedbackonemonth later via email. Participants appreciated the training opportunity and provided valuable insight into a previously unknown group’s experiences of attendingsuch trainingandtheirpotential contribution tosupporting women in the future. Lead and Team Members: Helen Mulcahy, Michelle O’Driscoll, Elaine Lehane, Margaret Murphy, Rhona O’Connell, Catherine Buckley, Sandra O’Connor, Mairead O’Sullivan, Mary O’Connor, Liz Cogan, Patricia Leahy-Warren.
