Dr Mohamad Saab and Team secure further HRB Funding to develop a Testicular Cancer Awareness Campaign Dr Mohamad Saab and team successfully secured Health Research Board (HRB) funding to the value of €39,000 under the Knowledge Translation Awards (KTA) scheme. This funding will support the co design and delivery of a testicular cancer awareness campaign targeted towards gay men. The campaign will be co-designed with various gay-friendly community organisations over a period of 12 months using as the World Café methodology and will be delivered in at least two gay-friendly organisations using various media. This project ties in with Dr Saab’s HRB Definitive Interventions and Feasibility Awards (DIFA)-funded feasibility trial which aims to Enhance Men’s Awareness of Testicular Diseases (E-MAT) using virtual reality. Knowledge Translation Awards (KTA 2022) The aim of this scheme is to provide HRB funded researchers with an opportunity to seek supplementary funding for knowledge translation activities not covered in the original award that will maximise the potential impact of the research findings on policy or practice or communicate research and research findings to the general public.
