VISITING SCHOLARS

The School has hostedmany visiting scholars over its 25 year history including Fulbright Scholars; Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowships (Dr. Leah McClimans); Visiting Professor (Professor Joyce Fitzpatrick) and visiting academics. The School has also hosted many international conferences over its history.

Dr. Leah McClimans hosted by Professor Jonathan Drennan in the School of Nursing and Midwifery completed her Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowships on the project titled: EVALUATE: Ethical and Epistemic Values in Assistive Technology. K. Shaughnessy Nurse Leadership Academy and the Elizabeth Brooks Ford Professor of Nursing at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She holds a BSN in nursing from Georgetown University, a master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from The Ohio State University, a PhD in nursing from New York University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. Professor Fitzpatrick has provided consultation to several schools of nursing and health care organizations globally. Dr. Fitzpatrick iswidely published in nursing andhealth care literaturewith over 300publications, including 80 books. Professor Fitzpatrick began her formal association with the School in 2004. She supported staff in the development of their research plans, attainment of their doctorate degrees and in the dissemination of their research. Joyce reached out to nurses globally to assist the School of Nursing and Midwifery to develop and sustain global partnerships.
