TRANSLATING EVIDENCE & INNOVATION FOR HEALTH

Supporting online learning through community contribution and the connected university The National Healthy Childhood Programme (NHCP) works with a variety of partners to deliver evidence- based training to support continuous professional development training for frontline healthcare professionals. Dr Helen Mulcahy has supported NHCP initiatives in the past four years through UCC consultancy. Training experienced delivery challenges during Covid-19. The School of Nursing and Midwifery, by supporting staff to use facilities and equipment, ensured high quality education materials were delivered to the NHCP to be used in the Working in Partnership with Parents online unit hosted by HSEland.

Forming an All-Ireland Midwifery Network

The purpose of the All-Ireland Midwifery network is to bridge midwifery care communities, by developing a Community of Practice via proactive connectivity through co-production processes. A unique opportunity for midwives to lead and inform their own network. We want to create a Community of Midwifery Practice across the island of Ireland and enhance their confidence in their ability to implement and translate research evidence into practice. Team: Co-founders and Chairs: Professor Patricia Leahy-Warren, University College Cork and Dr Maria Healy, Queens University Belfast.

Team: Dr Helen Mulcahy and Mr Tony Archer in collaboration with the Training and Resources subgroup of the National Healthy Childhood Programme
