Funding awarded for the “AdvoCare Study: An Evaluation of Advocacy Function within The Alzheimer Society of Ireland” The Alzheimer Society of Ireland (ASI) has made service provision and advocacy work an integral outcome of the organisation. ASI is a national leader in advocating for people with dementia and their carers. The findings from this evaluation will strengthen the future development and effective delivery of sustainable advocacy supports and services for dementia care in Ireland. The AdvoCare study is led by Dr Serena FitzGerald in collaboration with teammembers from the School of Nursing and Midwifery, School of Occupational Science and the Department of General Practice.
