The GenoNurse team progress their work on the GenoNurse Model and Roadmap The GenoNurse team (members from Finland, Slovenia, Italy and Ireland) met in L’Aquila in October 2023 to progress their work on the GenoNurse Model and Roadmap. Meeting in person was great - great energy and lots of activity. The project includes members from Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK), Finland, project coordinator; University of L’Aquila (UniVAC), Italy; University of Ljubljana (UNILJ), Slovenia; University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. The project is funded by Erasmus+ Cooperative Partnership. The main goal of this international GenoNurse project is to create an educational and competence model of genomic information for nursing education and educate nursing teachers and students to use the GenoNurse model. University College Cork is represented by Dr Maria Caples and Professor Josephine Hegarty, School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Strengthening Communities of Practice (CoP) to Enhance Teaching of Evidence Based Practice (EBP) for Healthcare Learners Funded by @UCC_CIRTL and @ForumTL, the School of Nursing and Midwifery in conjunction with the School of Clinical Therapies were delighted to welcome speakers and attendees from across health professions and academic/clinical healthcare settings to share learning in relation to teaching evidence-based practice (EBP). Reflections on the potential of communities of practice (CoP) as a professional development learning tool for knowledge acquisition, knowledge sharing, and knowledge translation were presented. This was followed by an enthusiastic discussion across the 90 in-person and online attendees on the next steps forward in developing our national CoP.
