Inaugural Meeting of the School of Nursing and Midwifery EDIB Student Forum On the 16th of October, in the School, we hosted the inaugural meeting of our School’s Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging Student Forum. This incredible and insightful group of students shared their experiences and critical insights into how we can work together to make our School and programmes more inclusive and welcoming. This meeting was facilitated by Dr Angela Flynn (Chair Athena Swan) and Dr Brendan Noonan (Co-Chair Athena Swan). It was incredible to hear all of the students’ wise and insightful comments and suggestions. We really appreciated their honesty and their generosity of time during a busy semester. At a time when the world seems to be becoming more divided, and when there are people busy sowing division, it is truly heartening to see students come together and engage so positively to make our school a more welcoming, diverse and inclusive space. Exciting times ahead.

Craniofacial Education for Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Nursing Students Craniofacial education was organised by Dr Helen Mulcahy (child health module leader) for Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health Nursing students and presented by Ms Mary Shevlin, Craniofacial Nurse Specialist CHI Temple St. on the 4th of January 2023. This initiative promotes safe and effective PHN practice in relation to head shape abnormalities and fosters greater collaboration between primary healthcare and specialist paediatric health services.
