EMERGENCY NURSING

About the Programme The aims of the programme are to encourage the personal and professional development of students so as to enable them to become knowledgeable and skilled practitioners in assessment and in the implementation of research based practice, in emergency nursing. Course Delivery Semester One: Three Block/full weeks and five one day workshops on five separate weeks. Semester Two: One Block/full week and two one day workshops on two separate weeks. Semester Three: Clinical practice experience – no College dates. Entry Requirements An active Nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. Minimum of one year clinical experience (excluding courses). At least six months recent experience in Emergency Nursing.

Course duration: One full calendar year (September – August). A 2-day orientation will take place the week prior to the starting date and attendance is compulsory.
