POSTGRADUATE CERTIFICATE
About the Programme The aims of the programme are to encourage the personal and professional development of students so as to enable them to become knowledgeable and skilled practitioners in assessment and in the implementation of research based practice in neonatal nursing. Successful completion of the programme leads to a specialist qualification in Neonatal Nursing. Course Delivery A number of modules are delivered as blended learning with online content and attendance for workshops and tutorials. Neonatal modules are delivered in partnership with neonatal services in Cork University Maternity Hospital. Entry Requirements An active Nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. Applicants should have a minimum six months experience in Neonatal Nursing. Applicants must be working in a Neonatal unit and have support from their Nurse Manager to undertake this programme.
Course Code: PDNN Course duration: One full calendar year (September – August). A 1-day orientation programme will be held prior to the programme starting and compulsory attendance is required.
