About the Programme The MSc Midwifery is a part-time taught programme for registered midwives. There are 60 credits in Year 1 and 30 credits in Year 2. Year 1: Students can choose from a range of modules subject to availability. Year 2: Modules MH6014 Advanced Research Methods for Healthcare Professionals (10 credits) NU6051 Dissertation (20 credits) Applicants with a Higher Diploma in Midwifery can apply for direct access to Year 2 (30 credits). Hold professional registration as a midwife with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be eligible for such registration. Entry Requirements Direct entry to Year 2, applicants with a Higher Diploma in Midwifery can apply for direct access to Year 2 (30 credits). Hold professional registration as a midwife with The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland or be eligible for such registration. Course Duration For these modules students will be invited to attend a session in August to introduce them to the blended learning component of relevant modules.
